Tigran Markaryan's career began in 1998 at Macro International, a federal contracting and survey research organization based in Maryland. He made a significant pivot in 2002 when he joined Accenture's nascent marketing sciences practice, marking his entry into management consulting and analytic consulting. In 2010, he moved to Merkle, a CRM analytics firm, where he continued optimizing marketing investments for Fortune 100 companies, now with a new layer of CRM data. In 2011, Tigran joined MMA, a subsidiary of Ipsos, incorporating attitudinal data with behavioral data in marketing optimization. Finally, in 2021, Tigran joined LIFELENZ, drawn by the opportunity to merge analytics with technology for greater automation, robustness, and speed.

He quickly realized that Hungarian is not a Slavonic or even an Indo-European language, which reminded him of the humorous misadventures described in Jules Verne's "The Children of Captain Grant."
