Zoe Russell’s career began in the fast-paced environment of quick service restaurants (QSR). Starting at KFC as an after-school job, she quickly ascended through various roles, gaining valuable experience in both HR and operations. After leaving KFC in search of a new challenge, Zoe found her way to LIFELENZ, drawn by the opportunity to leverage her extensive QSR background and passion for technology. At LIFELENZ, she saw the potential to solve significant rostering challenges faced by restaurant managers, making her an invaluable asset to the team.

Current Role and Responsibilities:

As the Senior Director of Client Solutions, Zoe's role involves guiding both current and potential clients through the LIFELENZ platform. She spends her days understanding clients' needs, investigating their pain points, and demonstrating how LIFELENZ can address those issues. Zoe’s responsibilities extend beyond initial implementation; she continuously engages with clients to solve new challenges and ensure their satisfaction with the platform. Recently, she has been heavily involved with UK Clients, presenting them with various options to optimize their operations using LIFELENZ.

Projects and Achievements:

Two projects stand out as highlights in Zoe’s career at LIFELENZ:

  1. Aggregated Dashboard for Above-Store Users: Over the past six months, Zoe has been instrumental in developing a dashboard that provides key information for above-store users. This tool allows managers to see sales and labor comparisons at a glance, making it easier to make informed business decisions.  
  1. LIFELENZ Platform Implementation for a client in the UK: Working closely with the UK client, Zoe has simplified the configuration of LIFELENZ for 1,500 stores. This project involved extensive testing and optimization, streamlining the rostering process, and enhancing operational efficiency.

Defining Success:

For Zoe, success is closely tied to client satisfaction. Her primary goal is to ensure that clients are happy with the implementation and performance of LIFELENZ’s systems. She believes that understanding and addressing client pain points is crucial to building strong relationships and achieving positive outcomes.

Advice for Aspiring Professionals:

Zoe emphasizes the importance of asking good questions and truly listening to clients. She advises aspiring professionals to delve deep into understanding both the product and the client’s business. Building relationships quickly and continuously seeking to understand the root causes of client issues are key strategies for success in client solutions roles.

Personal Insights:

Outside of work, Zoe loves to cook and is known for bringing homemade treats to the office. Interestingly, she does not follow recipes, preferring to rely on intuition and creativity in the kitchen. This contrasts with her highly structured and process-driven professional approach, surprising many of her colleagues.
